The Principality of Zion is at war with the Earth Federation. On September 18, 0079, Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable of Zion leads a raid on the space colony of Side 7. There, he discovers that the Earth Federation’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, has been abandoned. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting off a domino effect that will change history as we know it forever. Five years later, in the independent colony of Side 6, a young Newtype girl finds herself caught up in the hunt for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Soon, events conspire to put her in the pilot’s seat of the new prototype Gundam GQuuuuuuX and participate in underground mobile suit combat competitions. Surrounded by new friends, she tries to understand her strange powers and find her place in the world, dreaming of the skies where she can fly freely.
