After Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he informs him that he will keep his secret. It still haunts Peter even when he returns home. Nico offers to take Peter to the movies, but he says he is having dinner with Osborn. In an empty diner, Peter tries to tell Osborn that he is not Spider-Man, but that he realizes his lies. He reveals that after saving his son Harry, he began to gather potential Spider-Man candidates, eventually landing on Amadeus, Jeanne, Ash, and Peter himself. He offers his services to help him, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open just in case and check.
